🔧 From Family Roots to National Expertise: My Journey in X-ray Service

Updated: Jul 24

At Sievert X-ray, service isn’t just a job—it’s personal. My work is the result of years of study, real-world experience, and a legacy that began long before I launched this company.

This is the story of how it all started, and why I approach every service call with both technical precision and a human touch.

👨‍🔧 A Legacy Built With My Father

My journey began in my home country, where I was introduced to the world of X-ray equipment by my father, a skilled biomedical service technician who owned his own company. From a young age, I would accompany him on service calls, absorbing everything I could as he repaired machines and earned the trust of doctors and clinic staff.

Working beside him taught me more than technical skills. It taught me the values of patience, integrity, and responsibility—qualities I still bring to every client interaction today.

🎓 Technical Knowledge to Match Real-World Demands

Driven by a passion for electronics and healthcare technology, I went on to earn multiple technical qualifications:

  • Electrical Technician

  • Biomedical Engineer

  • Electrical Engineer (in my home country)

This academic foundation gave me a deep understanding of diagnostic imaging systems—how they work, how to maintain them, and how to solve complex issues efficiently and safely.

🇨🇦 Real Experience Across Canada

After moving to Canada, I continued growing in the X-ray field. For several years, I worked with established service companies—servicing medical, veterinary, and chiropractic X-ray equipment across multiple provinces.

I’ve handled:

  • Full system installations

  • Preventive maintenance and calibration

  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults

  • CR to DR digital upgrades

  • Fluoroscopy systems and table alignments

  • HARP radiation safety testing

From small veterinary practices to busy medical clinics, I’ve seen firsthand how much clinics rely on their imaging systems—and how critical it is to keep them running smoothly.

🔩 Founding Sievert X-ray

With years of field experience and a strong technical background, I founded Sievert X-ray to offer something more personal: reliable, expert service delivered with honesty and care. I wanted to create a company where every client—whether in a city hospital or a rural vet clinic—gets the same level of commitment and professionalism.

At Sievert X-ray, I bring together:

  • Family-driven values

  • Engineering-level problem solving

  • Cross-province field experience

  • Bilingual communication (English & Spanish)

Whether it's a preventive maintenance visit, an urgent repair, or a new installation, I approach every job as if it were my own clinic—because I know what’s at stake.
